Grandma's House! offers vintage and modern transfers. We have a ton of them, and they're slowly but surely being added. We try to offer a wide variety, but I'm especially partial to these: days-of-the-week; Sunbonnet Sue; Southern Belle pillowcases - especially ones with crocheted skirts; and figural transfers of ethnic characters - Indian, Mexican, Black, Chinese, Dutch; even cowboys, farmers, grandmas, and housewives to celebrate the vast diversity that is America. We don't offer ethnic transfers as a slam to any group of people, but rather as an acknowledgment of our history.
Sorry, we can't accept returns on transfers unless we grossly misrepresented the item or its condition - that's because folks are buying up these old trasnfers, copying them to sell, then returning the originals for a refund.
We don't assume responsibility for design content. Some days of the week sets only had 6 motifs included, as Sunday was to be a day of rest so no tea towel would be required for Sunday. Also, Southern Belle transfers generally have the gals facing the same direction, so if you place the pillow case ends at the edge of opposite sides of the bed one gal will be facing up, and one down; very few of the older designs had the gals facing opposite directions.
We can't guarantee vintage transfers to stamp, although we believe most will stamp just fine. Some of the old ink has become unstable, and we've stated which transfers we really feel might not stamp. If a transfer will no longer transfer, or if it has faded onto itself, which would cause a very messy transfer, you can trace over the design with a transfer pen or pencil. Another transfer method is to use a light box and trace design directly onto fabric with a water-soluble pen.
You should assume these transfers have no envelope unless it is stated that the envelope is included.
Date Aunt Martha's transfers using the envelope. This is a loose guide:
1920s-1930s - Brown paper
1940s - Blue and red with feather edge on left and scattered stars
1950s - Blue and red with a blue check background
1960s - Blue and red with yellow ribbons
1970s - Pink and yellow or pink and yellow check
1980s - Yellow
1990s - Yellow with red or blue stripe across top
Current - Yellow with 3 languages at top

Condition: Unused, in its original mailing envelope from Needlework Dept., postage 1¢.

Descripti0: Original vintage transfers for WORKING GIRLS. These could be used as days of the week towels, but there are no words included. These are designed like stencils. Too cute.

Condition: Original unused red transfers. This has a ¾" corner chew or hole at one folded corner.

Description: Original vintage transfers for infant's pillow and carriage cover.

Condition: Appears unused, but some pieces are cut apart. Complete.

5111 Item #: T5111 Price: $12.00
Description: 1938 transfer for a pair of horse heads. There is one complete sheet, with one set of large transfers (design measures about 14" across x 11" tall), and one small trial horses motif.

Condition: Uncut, unused, in its original mailing envelope from The Ohio Farmer. Green transfers look great, with no fading onto itself. Paper is beginning to get brittle, with minor discoloration at folds.

Description: This is an original vintage transfer for a beautiful Southern Belle or Crinoline Lady for sheets and pillow cases. She's walking through her flower trellis garden. Crochet instructions are included for edging. This is in its original mailing envelope from The Household Magazine Needlecraft Department, Topeka, KS.

Condition: The sheet motif is cut out, but it looks unused. The 2 pillow case motifs are uncut and unused.
